JPS Award

Josephine Poppleton Scholarship (JPS) Award

In April, on Administrative Professionals Day, City Center Chapter presents the Josephine Poppleton Scholarship winner.  Josephine Poppleton or “Ms. Jo” as she was affectionately known was the first President of the National Secretaries Association for the State of Florida and a member of the Tampa Chapter as well as City Center Chapter.  The chapter awards a $1,000 scholarship in her honor to a deserving graduating high school student whose career plans include a two or four-year degree in the administrative or business field of study.  The award is based on grades, community involvement and financial need.  The winning candidate is invited along with his/her parents or counselor to attend the City Center Chapter’s Administrative Professionals Day luncheon to receive the award.
